American Terrain™ is Timberline Texas Studio's precision factory-applied architectural color system for LP SmartSide® engineered wood composite and James Hardie® fiber cement siding. Eight regionally inspired colors — applied in our controlled San Marcos studio to the substrate you specify.
Unlike field-painted siding, American Terrain™ finishes are applied in a controlled environment — delivering consistent color, superior adhesion, and long-term performance that on-site painting cannot match.
The result is a product that arrives at the job site installation-ready — no painting crews, no weather delays, no inconsistency between coats.

While LP SmartSide® and James Hardie® are manufactured products, slight surface texture variation between boards is inherent to the manufacturing process. American Terrain™ colors are applied consistently across every board — our process is the same and quality control is performed on every single piece. However, the underlying substrate texture may create subtle variation in how the color reads across a large installation. A field mockup is recommended for large-scale projects.
