Lumina™ is Timberline Studio's signature collection — our most technically advanced finishing system, developed for projects where visual distinction, material precision, and design integration are the defining criteria.
Available exclusively on Accoya® and Thermory® USA — the two most dimensionally stable and performance-driven wood substrates on the market. Lumina™ is specified for applications where standard finishes are not enough.
Every Lumina™ project begins with a consultation. We work with the architect, designer, or builder to develop the finish, approve the sample, and deliver a surface that reflects the full intention of the design.
Lumina™ sits above every other collection in the Timberline Studio portfolio. It is not a variation on an existing system — it is a category of its own.
Accoya® and Thermory® USA exclusively. Both are chosen for their dimensional stability, environmental credentials, and long-term exterior performance.
Every Lumina™ project begins with a direct conversation. We don't process Lumina orders without understanding the project, the application, and the design intent.
The Lumina™ surface is fundamentally light-responsive. Raised grain ridges catch light at oblique angles. Recessed areas hold shadow. The character of the surface changes throughout the day — morning light reads differently than midday, and raking evening light reveals depth that direct light conceals. For interior applications, lighting placement is a design decision that should be made before installation begins.
The Lumina™ palette is currently being finalized. Each finish is named for a quality of light — from dawn to absolute darkness. Contact us to be notified when the collection launches or to discuss a custom finish for your project.

Acetylated radiata pine. The most dimensionally stable wood substrate available — ideal for high-UV south and west exposures, Gulf Coast humidity, and precision interior applications. FSC-certified, produced without toxic biocides, carbon negative.
Thermally modified wood. Enhanced durability and dimensional stability through heat treatment only — no added chemicals, no toxic preservatives. Excellent for demanding exterior exposures and sustainability-focused projects.

Every Lumina™ project begins with a direct conversation. Here is how it works:
Share your project details — location, application, substrate preference, and any design references.
We develop a sample board specific to your project — finish, substrate, and profile. Review it in your actual site lighting conditions.
Once the sample is approved, we move to production. 2–3 week lead time from approval.
Lumina™ is available to architects, designers, and builders working on projects where finish quality and visual distinction are the standard. Begin with a consultation.
