Timberline Studio provides factory-applied finishes for exterior wood systems — with custom color, texture-enhanced surfaces, and project-specific finish development. We work with architects, builders, and premium product partners to create finishes that are consistent, distinctive, and ready for the field.
We don't sell lumber — and that's intentional. As an independent finishing partner, our clients source materials from their preferred suppliers while we focus entirely on what we do best: precision factory finishing.
With over 15 years of experience in coatings technology and color science, we develop finishes that enhance the natural character of wood while meeting the performance expectations of modern architecture.
Our Story →
Most finishing happens on-site. We replace that process entirely. Our controlled production environment delivers consistent color, superior adhesion, and long-term coating performance that field application simply cannot match.
Cedar, Accoya, Thermory, Southern Yellow Pine, LP SmartSide, James Hardie. Our in-house color lab develops project-specific finishes for any substrate. Source from your preferred supplier — or let our lumber partners handle delivery to our studio.
Every coating system is engineered for Texas conditions — UV radiation, thermal cycling, Gulf Coast humidity, and hard water. Reduced jobsite finishing risk. Predictable performance across every board, every project.
Factory finishing means controlled overspray, zero VOC release at the job site, and no chemical exposure for workers or neighboring properties. Our interior coatings are ultra-low VOC — suitable for WELL and LEED projects. Accoya® is FSC-certified. Thermory® is heat-treated with no added chemicals.
Our four collections cover a wide range of exterior applications — from fire-crafted Shou Sugi Ban to dimensional relief to manufactured siding finishes. When standard options aren't enough, our in-house color lab and custom finish development process can build exactly what your project requires.
